Job Title:   MK Bay Clean-up Assistant Supervisor with First Aide

Job Overview/Purpose:

We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Wood Chopping Assistant Supervisor with a First Aid Certification. This role will assist the Wood Chopping Supervisor in overseeing our wood chopping operations while also serving as the primary first aid responder on-site. If you have a passion for forestry, strong leadership skills, and comprehensive first aid training, we want to hear from you!

Duties:

Assist the Wood Chopping Supervisor in planning and organizing daily wood chopping activities to meet production targets.

Supervise and provide guidance to a team of wood choppers and laborers, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in all operations.

Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce safety protocols, and provide ongoing safety training to the team.

Serve as the primary first aid responder on-site, providing immediate care and assistance in case of injuries or medical emergencies.

Maintain first aid supplies and equipment, ensuring they are up-to-date and readily accessible.

Collaborate with the Wood Chopping Supervisor to monitor wood quality, production metrics, and equipment maintenance needs.

Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in forestry, wood chopping, or a related field.

Comprehensive first aid training and certification (e.g., First Aid/CPR/AED).

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

Knowledge of wood chopping equipment, techniques, and safety practices.

Ability to assess and respond to medical emergencies with confidence and professionalism.

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in forestry or related field is a plus.
